Serie A high-flyers Napoli were handed an injury boost on Thursday after it was revealed striker Goran Pandev will be sidelined for only a fortnight.
The Macedonia international strained a hamstring in last Saturday's 3-0 win at his former club Inter Milan and was initially expected to be out for up to two months.
A statement from fourth-placed Napoli read: "Pandev underwent tests that revealed a hamstring strain in his left leg. He is expected to return to training in two weeks' time."
The 28-year-old will miss Napoli's league game against Parma on October 15 and the Champions League Group A showdown against Bayern Munich in Naples three days later.
